Police investigating after body found on 90 Mile Beach

By 1news.co.nz

Police are working to identify a person found dead yesterday on 90 Mile Beach.

“Once identified, we will notify their next of kin and look to establish the circumstances of their death,” a police spokesperson said.

Police said at this stage of the investigation, it is too early to confirm a link between the person missing at Ahipara on December 23, and the person found at 90 Mile Beach.

“A seven day rahui has been placed on the area by local iwi.”
