Several arrested after drink-throwing sparks brawl near Akl viaduct

Several people have been arrested after a brawl broke out near Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour last night.

Police were called to Quay Street shortly before 7.30pm after receiving reports of drinks being thrown off an apartment balcony near Lower Hobson Street.

A fight involving a number of people then broke out upon officers arriving, resulting in several people taken into custody, police said.

Some received medical treatment, although police reported no serious injuries.
